I have a comment/question completely unrelated to the butter/shortening/vodka decision (but still post-related). I clicked on the link to the Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie because yours looked SO yummy and was surprised by the difference in the two photos! The post pic looks moist and melt-in-your-mouth good, but the recipe pie pic looks rather dry on the top. Is there a difference in the way the post pie was made, as opposed to the recipe pie?
