PJ, I really love your columns. My favorite pie crust is made with lard. Pies are flaky with a great flavor. It's too bad you have a hard time finding lard in the supermarket. It used to be sold in the meat department and was in the refrigerated section but now it's in the grocery section next to the shortenings. If you can't find lard just ask your grocer.
