Miriam, taking a whole pie out of a pan is a fairly precarious process, even for experienced bakers. If you're using a metal pie pan and want a prettier dish for setting out on the table, can we offer an alternative? Place the pie, still in the metal pie pan, right inside of your decorative pan. It's a much less hazardous process, and most of the time you can't even tell until after you've started removing pieces. Happy baking! Kat@KAF
