Michelle, this will be an estimate, based on pouring water into an empty pie pan (same pie pan as shown in this post), without a crust, but I'd say the volume of the filling is more like 3 1/2 to 4 cups. Which seems weird, since the ingredients list adds up to more than 5 cups, but sugar dissolves, chocolate melts... it all shrinks. Hope this helps — PJH
