I also much prefer chocolate meringue pie. One tip: Always spread the meringue over the HOT filling. This will help cook the meringue from the bottom as well as the top while it is in the oven. Second tip is to spread the meringue all the way to the edge of the crust essentially sealing the pie in meringue. This will help keep the meringue from weeping and shrinking.
