This worked flawlessly for me! It was my first time making or even having salt-rising bread, and the first loaf was wonderful. From all I'd read, I half expected my entire kitchen to smell like dirty socks while it was baking, so I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious cheesy smell it had instead.
My oven has no light switch, so the warm spot that I improvised was on top of my toaster oven while it was set to warm (which puts the inside of the toaster oven bouncing between 100 F and about 175 F). Surprisingly, it kept both starters between 90 and 100 F very reliably.
