Oh my - so sorry for the disappointment. You're right that there's warm and then there's WARM! Maybe the heat and humidity is not your best friend now and the starter needs a controlled environment like the bread proofing box. Either that, or save the salt-rising bread for fall and winter baking. Happy Baking! Irene@KAF
