I have to second Jasia's comments. Love the comments on pie baking, especially since my husband loves, loves, loves apple pie, and this gives me new ideas. I am a Chemical Engineer by training and the things I learned in engineering school about plastics (and other things) are very frightening. Since a lot of us bake/cook to show love -- doesn't it make sense to not only show short-term love through our baking, but also long term love toward humans and creatures of this planet? I do use plastic products (over and over). What I object to is one-time use. I thank KAF for their high-quality products (I reuse my bread bags over and over) and for offering organic products.
