Hi Suzanne, we'd love to help you make this cake great! One of the most common reasons why cakes turn out dry is because too much flour is added to the batter. Next time, try measuring your flour using a scale or fluffing and sprinkling it like this. This will help ensure each cup of flour weighs about 4 1/4 ounces, and a cake that's tender, moist, and rises nicely. We hope that helps! Kye@KAF
