OK, call me lazy, but I have to ask: is the hand-stirring an essential component to attaining success with this recipe, or could true sloths utilize a stand mixer at 20 minute intervals to stir the dough? (My guess is no, but surely I'm not the only one wondering...I hope!)
Of course you can use your mixer at 20 second intervals in a low speed. Just be careful not to over knead! Betsy@KAFDaisy, not sure they'll come out the same – there's something about turning the soft dough over with a dough scraper that really develops it – but give it a try and let us know, OK? PJH
