If you would like to use apple sauce in this recipe, you can reduce the butter to as little as 2 tablespoons and use apple sauce to make up for the rest of the butter. (For example 2 tablespoons butter and 4 tablespoons of apple sauce.) That might add a subtly sweet apple flavor to this cake. Yum! Kye@KAF
