I use heavy whipping cream, Philadelphia cream cheese, Half and Half along with cheddar cheese. I precook my sliced potatoes with a little salt in the pot and a little oil. I combine the different cheese with grated Garlic and seasoned cubes then I bring it to a boil. When the sauce is thick I then strain the potatoes and then layer that pan with the sliced potatoes and add sauce to each layer along with the cheddar cheese. It is delicious!!
