I read in the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Cookbook that they would stand on a tall ladder and simply drop the chilled Heath Bars onto the pavement (closed box, of course)! This is how they "cracked" the toffee up. It was fast & very easy to do. Breaking all the "toffee" by hand took to long and Ben & Jerry didn't have time for that! LOL Dropping the chilled toffee off a tall ladder "proved" to be the easier way to do this! CLEVER, indeed! ;-D
