What purpose is the egg serving in this recipe? I’m wondering how to best replace it. We have an egg allergy in our household so I can’t use the egg. I have used plain yogurt or flax egg as a replacement in other bread recipes but have never worked with a “wet” dough so just curious if I’d be able to replace the egg still?
