Hi Susan,
English muffin batter can be tricky to work with. For best results we'd recommend a recipe written to be gluten-free from the get go. We do have one on our site made with GF starter, they are terrific! https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/gluten-free-sourdough-english-muffins-recipe
