My husband and I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years and Pamela's in the Squirrel Hill and Shadyside locations were a regular brunch date for us. The strawberry hot cakes are TO DIE FOR and I'm laying in bed starving now just reminiscing about them. In addition to hot cakes (as the "pancakes" are known at Pamela's, we always ordered a side of lyonnaise potatoes and my husband has a recipe that almost tastes exactly like those from Pamela's. I will ask him for it tomorrow and try to post. Lord, please let me dream of brown sugared, strawberry stuffed, crispy edged hot cakes tonight. Lol!
