Hi Susan! Since we don't have a maple walnut fudge recipe of our own, we recommend trying out this well-loved one from the All Recipes website. Since it doesn't specify a certain type of walnut, we don't see why you couldn't use English walnuts. We don't see why you couldn't use English walnuts in any recipe calling for walnuts.
