Boston Cream Pie has always been my husband's favorite. I just made one today, with a special cake pan that creates pockets inside the bottom layer. So in addition to the pastry cream between the cake layers, each slice had a little pocket of pastry cream as well!
I can't agree with you more: Boston Cream Pie should definitely come out of the corner and onto more dessert plates!
