Boston Cream pie was my dads favorite cake. I remember my mom making it often. My husbands office used to draw names for birthday cakes for each month, and I was always asked to make the Boston Cream pie for birthdays in September. It was a joy to make it and it's so delicious. This is a go to recipe for any occasion.
