My dad made the best cakes in the world and his Boston cream pie was a childhood favorite. Dad never used a recipe, just poured the flour etc out of the container. I'd eat the cake plain too. So I've been looking for that cake for a loooong time. Your previous cake recipe for Boston cream pie was good, but kudos to everyone who contributed to the newer updated fewer eggs, more butter version., I sighed when I read the changes, but figured I may as well try it. The first bite was great and after the second I had to write and say "I remember this cake!" Thanks.
