The recipe I used was from a cookbook. I'll try the KAF recipe for the next one. One question - is the pastry cream filling for this cake made with the whipping cream? Sorry for any confusion. In the pastry cream recipe on the KAF site, you would stop before adding the whipped heavy cream. You want the filling thicker to slice. ~ MaryJane
