Tried these scones this morning after coming across this recipe and after an extremely failed attempt at another recipe that others had raved about. This recipe has exceeded my expectations! They are the perfect combination of crisp outer layer and fluffy inside along with keeping the skins on the apples is just a must! These scones are my absolute fav! I only added the cinnamon to the inside of the recipe and coated outside with a fair shake of cinnamon sugar, while baking on a cast iron pizza round. They baked beautifully and "poofed" and spread out like magnificent pillows of delectable triangle scrumptiousness! Go ahead...make them, you will not regret it!
