Hi there, Alvirta! You could certainly give this recipe a go using sweetened apple sauce if you'd like — this bit of extra sweetness may help to highlight the apple flavor. Roasting the apples before assembling your scone batter can also help to give you a more prominent apple flavor. You can also increase the amount of apples to a full cup if desired as well.
