There are just two of us, so it's hard to buy herbage in appropriate amounts without a lot of waste. I've tried this recipe three times, once using traditional pesto from a jar, once using fresh basil and spinach and once using sun-dried tomato pesto, also from a jar. All worked great. Okay, listen; sometimes it's acceptable to take a little help! :) Thanks for this flexible recipe!
