This recipe is so similar to my Grandma's Holiday Gold Cake it isn't funny! The difference is the almond extract in hers. I'm making this over the weekend....I read Julia & Julie, a story about a woman who prepared every recipe in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking....I think I'm going to do the same with a Bernard Clayton or Paula Peck cookbook! Thanks for the inspiration.
