This cake turned out wonderfully, everyone enjoyed it. Baking the shortbread in a round springform does increase the baking time, as it was noted in the blog, so it is a good idea to keep checking its readiness during the final five minutes. Using the food processor and pulsing the strawberry mix thoroughly helps to achieve the elegant smooth finish.
