You're right, Mary, that there are a number of excellent ready-made Greek yogurts on the market, and it often does make sense to simply purchase this when that's specifically what you're after. If you're looking to turn one product into two, using each part separately, then straining your own yogurt can start to make a lot of sense. It can also be handy to understand this process (and its benefits) if you make your own homemade yogurt. Hope this helps! Mollie@KAF
