Hi HL, a generally healthy and well-maintained mature sourdough starter can last for quite a long time in the refrigerator. Just give your starter a feeding before you go, leave it out for an hour or so to begin bubbling, and then store it in the refrigerator until you return. It may take a day or two of twice a day feedings at room temperature to bring it back to its normal activity level and aroma, but it will come back!
