I wasn’t doing a great job of scraping the jar down on the counter and I popped some fuzzy mold on the side of the jar. I caught it early and got the starter out without touching the side. Nothing has grown back and I made a successful loaf since then. I also fed it to my mom as an experiment (she was a willing participant) and she didn’t die. It’s probably fine, right?
