Hi Nola, we'd recommend starting the two starters separately so you can follow the prescribed amounts given in the sourdough booklet, at least initially. Also, it's worth noting that once your starter(s) are healthy and active (about a week or so), you can give them larger feedings to increase the volume of starter. Instead of giving 4 ounces of starter 4 ounces each of water and flour, try giving it 6 or even 8 ounces of each. Happy sourdough baking! Kye@KAF
