John Paul, in order to increase your sourdough starter, it's best to try to keep the proportion of ingredients the same. So, if you're starting with 12 ounces of starter and you want to increase it, you could save all 12 ounces of starter and feed it 12 ounces of flour and 12 ounces of water. This is best done in the last feeding before you intend to bake with it, since normally you won't want to feed and maintain such a large quantity of starter. Be sure to save at least 4 ounces of your starter to feed and maintain after you've removed the portion of starter necessary for the recipe. Barb@KAF
