All sourdough starters that are fed need to sit at room temperature for 4-8 hours before being considered "fed starter". You can clean your starter container as often as you feel it needs it. For the best health of your starter you should use 4 oz of starter and add 4 oz of flour and 4 oz of water. We recommend using a scale and weighting the ingredients for the best results.
