When making a sourdough starter from scratch, it can be important to use water that is distilled to kill any potentially harmful bacteria. However, once the starter is established you should not worry too much about your water source. Using your filtered water from the Brita should give you good results. It can make the starter nice and happy to use warm water, so you may consider warming it gently before using it in a feeding. I hope that helps! Happy baking! Kye@KAF
