Hi! I've been enjoying starting my sourdough starter over the last week or so ... it was doing really well, smelling sour and I've been baking/using with the discards (mostly pizza crusts ... and the pretzel recipe y'day), but about two days ago, my starter stopped smelling sour (it almost has a sweet smell now). It bubbles but isn't getting much rise. I've been still doing the two feedings a day and leaving the starter on the counter. When I'm home I keep it on a heating pad. Last night I fed it with 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 AP thinking that it needed a little more food. Not sure what to do. I'd welcome any suggestions. Thank you!
