Liz, are you making the same dough - or did two different dough recipes smell bad? Since your starter seems fine, you might want to try to pin down another ingredient. Also, you might be able to figure this out more quickly if you call our hotline, 855-371-2253. A lot of times a dialogue is key to nailing down what's happening. Good luck - PJH
