Carol, that's fine, the taste won't be affected. I wouldn't feed it with whole wheat very often, as whole wheat has a lot more "microflora" that might affect your starter - it's a bit of a wild cad. Feed your starter with all-purpose flour, as a general rule, OK? Good luck - PJH
