Hey KA! I've been following your recipe on making a starter from scratch but am not having very good luck..the first starter I ended up disposing because it was made using bleached flour. This go 'round I've made it to day 5 so far. On day 3, I woke up to a wonderfully bubbly starter full of rivets and bubble clusters, but it has since gone somewhat 'dormant'. No rising, very few bubbles. The first two feedings were with whole wheat flour, then I switch to AP on day three and have been using it since for the 2x/day feedings. I've also been using bottled water and keeping my starter in a jar on a heating pad on low heat. Should I pitch again and restart? I'm afraid I've killed my starter and am not sure what I've been doing wrong!
