HI Beverly, Starters are very flexible. It's best to feed at least once a week, but the starter will be fine if fed more often than that, or if occasionally the gap is longer. If you knew you weren't going to able to feed your starter for a couple of weeks or more, you might want to hire a friend as a "starter-sitter", or consider freezing your starter while you are gone. ~ MJ
