I keep reading about the importance of using certain kind of water (not tap) for sourdough starter. I didn't read this until my starter had already been growing for 9 days. I followed KA's starter recipe. I baked with my sourdough starter on day 7. My boules came out beautiful, the rise was great, and it had a sour nutty flavor! I was so HAPPY, my first starter, my first sourdough boule! Anyhow, I'm questioning now whether to throw my current 9 day old starter out because I used tap water :( Should I?? I'm continuing to feed it and it is doubling in size within 1-2hrs. I'm a little confused. I guess what I'm saying is did the tap water affect my starter as far as taste etc. Please help! Thank You!
