Hi Colleen, actually the portion of starter you want to keep and feed is 113g and you are meant to discard the remaining starter, but it shouldn't have damaged your starter if you mixed up these amounts a few times. I would just start saving the 113g of starter the next time you go to feed your starter. The normal feeding routine involves equal parts by weight, and should look like this: 113g (1/2 cup) starter + 113g (1/2 cup) water + 113g (1 scant cup) flour.
