Hi there, Nicole! We're sorry to hear that you're confused about the feeding process! You want to discard all but 1/2 cup (113g) of starter and then feed that remaining 1/2 cup of culture with 1 scant cup (113g) of flour and 1/2 cup (113g) of water. This should leave you with roughly 2 cups of starter. We hope this helps!
