I started my first attempt a few days ago. The first day I used rye flour. Nothing much happened until the 20-hour mark, then the starter grew like crazy. Overflowing the container crazy. But it wasn't time to feed it yet, so I decided to wait a few more hours. The starter fell and then rose again, but not as much. When it fell again, I did the removal/feeding. That was several days ago, and it hasn't done much since. I fed it as directed on the second day, nothing. I fed it twice on the third day, even though it hadn't risen, but was bubbly. Nothing. Now it's the fourth day. Still no change. Should I feed it? Or is it dead? Thanks.
