Hi, Natali! While 6 to 8 hours is typical for most starters, every one is unique! Some take just a few hours to rise fully, and others can take as long as 12. If you know that your starter is a very quick riser, you'll just want to plan your baking times around when you expect your starter to peak. Happy baking!
