I am trying this for the first time! On day 2 my starter was almost tripple in amount and every bubbly. My starter is also very thick, although I am fairly certain I followed the correct measurement, it's more like gooey peanut butter than thick pancake mix... If that makes any sense. Ihave been keeping it on the counter, and our house stayes between 75&85 degrees, it's monsoon season so the day I started it was very humid. This is day 2 and I'm currently starting it on 2 feedings a day. I am wondering if any of my bread, or discarded starter recipes will still be successful, even though my starter seems thick and it became active so quickly? All recipes I read said it takes a few days or more ....
