Just add a bit more water or flour for your next feeding, Laurie, to balance it out; it'll be fine. And yes, you can either mix in the liquid that accumulates or, if your starter seems to be getting too thin (i.e., it's easily pourable), then you can discard the liquid. Good luck - PJH
