I love doing sourdough bread but, when I leave it in my fridge for a week, it will turn bluish purple. Any thoughts? I was given a starter from a mother that was more than 200 years old. It had traveled from Ireland to the States! I managed within two weeks, even though I followed the directions, to turn in purple. I hesitate to start another one, but I just love sourdough stuff!
