Hi Summer- Feeding with whole wheat flour that one time won't be a problem at all. The starter should have a strong sour smell, which that whole wheat will have contributed too, and if you have kept it well covered and don't think there is any chance of something foreign contaminating it, I wouldn't worry to much about it too much, and you may find when you switch back to the all-purpose flour only, that the smell may mild out a bit.
