Just took it out of the oven. It looks and smells delicious. However, it did not rise as much as I would have liked. I wish I had read the review that said to make a sponge first. I think the results would have been better. If it tastes as good as it smells I may try it again using the sponge method. Gold instant yeast is preferred as this is a sweet dough - richer ingredients (eggs, sugar, butter) that benefit from the gold yeast instead of the red instant yeast. The red instant yeast will work, but rise time may be longer. Happy Baking! Irene @ KAF
