Hi Louise, because this scone recipe is meant to make drop scones, the batter is stickier/wetter than a regular scone recipe. I hope your scones still turned out delicious, even though they were a bit difficult to handle. This blueberry scone recipe may be a better choice, if you want to make a shaped scone.
