This was my first try at making wheat rolls. I made these rolls today and the first rise was almost double. Then I made them into individual rolls and placed in two separate round cake pans for the second rise. I left them to rise for about an hour and 45 minutes. They looked good filling in the pan and touching each other before baking. I baked them in the 350 degree oven. The rolls came out pretty flat, but were touching each other. They taste great and look good, I am just baffled as to why the rise after the bake is less than before going in the oven. Any idea or suggestions for future baking? Thanks.
